This week Sydney enjoyed the hottest spring day on record and tomorrow it's going to be a scorcher again. So given this lovely, early summery weather, what do you think I sewed last night?? Why a blazer of course!!
Seriously, I don't know what's wrong with me!
I used McCalls 6711. This is actually a trial run of this pattern before I cut into my Tessuti fabric, which you can now see online here. I really like this blazer. I stayed up quite late last night making it and finished a little bit of hand sewing and pressing today.
Melanie, likes hand sewing??
So, now this is made up and I am happy with the final result, I don't think that I'll use this pattern for my Tessuti fabric. I've recently spied the new Grainline jacket pattern on Instagram and I'm liking it more.
In other news, I added adjustable straps to my new swimmers.
Rather than create tubes for the straps, I simply cover stitched them and attached them with some loops and sliders from an old stretched out cozzie. Just in time for the scorcher we're going to enjoy tomorrow.
